Slugs, Slugs, Everywhere!

Lately, the students in Room 15/16 have been learning about slugs. On Friday, Mrs. Pittman showed us a brown bag with something special inside. We played a game of 20 questions and figured out that it was something living! The boys and girls have spent time observing, recording and asking questions to learn more about our classroom slugs! Ask your child what they have learned about slugs so far. How are slugs and snails different? How do slugs move?

This afternoon we read a story called, "When We Were Alone". We then had a classroom discussion about the significance of Orange Shirt Day.

Field trip forms are coming home today for our upcoming trip to Weaselhead/North Glenmore Park on October 9th. Please return the forms by Wednesday, October 3rd.
